If you’re looking for a tune-up, upgrade, or repair, here’s what to expect; you’ll come in with your bike, we’ll do a free assessment of your bicycle and give you a price quote. Depending on availability of parts and size of the repair, we’ll schedule a walk-in appointment to be finished by 5pm that day or we’ll set up an appointment for the future. For future appointments, you can either leave the bike with us, or if you need it to get around, you can take it home and reserve your spot with a non-refundable $25 deposit.
Our sales experts are familiar with all types of bicycles. We’re committed to finding you a bike that meets your needs and fits your body. All bikes are available to be test ridden.
All new bike purchases come with a FREE 30 day tune up and a FREE 6 month tune-up. We will readjust your shifting and brakes, true your wheels, adjust bearing systems, and make any other adjustments that you may want to make to your new bicycle during this time.
Box Dog Bikes is an active member of the community, volunteering our time and space to local groups and organizations. We partner with the June Jordan School of Equity by repairing bikes for their annual two week bicycle riding program. During “Bike to Work Week”, with the coordination of the San Francisco Bike Coalition, we assist passing cyclists; pumping up tires, lubing chains, and performing mechanical adjustments. We proudly support the AIDS Life Cycle by providing their riders with discounts on bikes, parts and labor.
Box Dog Bikes is happy to support local teams, riders, and races with in kind donations. We annually support the Supermarket Sweep, Quake City Rumble, and Rad Massaker. We also support the famed MASH crew, wrenching on some of their bikes and lending a hand where needed.
