Yesterday was beautiful here in the Bay Area, and I took advantage of it by going for a little bike ride. A quick lap in the Presidio, over the Golden Gate, up the headlands, down to the beach, back through the tunnel, on home. The temperature held at about 68 degrees all day.

After a pretty wet winter, it’s nice to finally get some nice riding weather. There is nothing better than getting that first day of nice weather and breathing some fresh air.

I got to stretch out my legs, in good weather finally, on my new road bike as well. It’s a Cannondale CAAD8 frame, with SRAM Rival, Mavic SSC Classics, and Continental tires. Who knew that this bike would be both stiffer during acceleration and have a softer ride than my last bike which was steel. I get really excited every time I get to ride it.
