Glad you enjoyed the majority of our event, sorry for the “goose chase”. That was, however, the idea of the time bonus, We only put 15 out there and you had to decide if it was a good idea to continue running up the mountain. Running up that trail with road cleats was your mistake and you paid for it. Bummer you couldn’t finish the ride, always next year. I plan on hosting more races with plenty of opportunity for you to make better choices.

I gotta say everything about this race kicked a lot of ass until the wild goose chase for the “time bonus.” Of course then again I spent so much time looking for the “20 minute time bonus” I lost my top 15 position and ruined my cleats so badly I couldn’t clip in and had to hitch a ride to Sausalito.
